I want to meet with Chris because:

I've seen Chris recently as the moderator for the Orrick Incubator session (reviewed on my blog, geoffclapp.blogspot.com). I liked Chris' style and I've specifically targeted hm for feedback on our enterprise/knowledge worker startup. My last successful startup was in Health IT, so it was a different investor base and advisers. My goal meeting Chris is to expand that base of "smartfiends."

Chris – Just yesterday I got my very first press for a social music app I’ve been building for almost a year called LetsListen http://www.betabeat.com/2011/08/18/letslisten-aims-to-be-a-turntable-killer/ I moved from Richmond, VA to San Francisco just a few months ago to make this thing happen - I’ve got an amazing story to tell and incredible business to introduce you to.

I want to meet with Chris because:

I quit my job, sold all of my stuff, traveled for a year and then started the travel company I desperately wanted but couldn't find. Unanchor answers the questions: what should I do & how should I get around? We sell self-guided tours that give the tour guide experience at a fraction of the cost. We've been bootstrapping the last year and are beginning to explore trying to raise money.

I want to meet with Chris because:

I have created an adhoc social networking iPhone app called Locally for neighbors to communicate, share & organize. Neighborhood websites have backfired in the past. I am working with different assumptions. It would be nice to run my assumptions and objectives by Chris.

I want to meet with Chris because:

Hi Chris, gary here -- http://www.linkedin.com/in/garygoates

Our team has written a business plan narrative, which if we meet will be available to you in advance either as a 11-page .pdf file or interactively via Google Docs.

Working within the spaces of Social Networking / Social Media / On-line Advertising / On-line Education, we have the potential of disruptively taking multiple niche target markets away from Google's AdWords. We have the potential of supplanting, not replacing, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google+.

We currently seek early-stage funding of a surprisingly modest amount -- in part because our initial website deployment can be largely outsourced.

Your investment risk would be diversified across about four realistic potential revenue streams, as well as diversified across about four well-identified target markets.

Each of our co-founders (currently 3) bring a solid value, via blogging experience, graduate-level teaching experience, and software development experience. Our content will run the gamut from user-posted tweet-like comments, to blogs, to works of substantial educational value. Our Web 2.0 and mobile-device user experience will (in later releases) be second to none. Our management team is committed to merging the excitement of agile Ruby on Rails development with old-school software engineering via written software requirements and phased implementation plans.

Hope to hear from you,

Gary B. Goates
